Kurdistan Parliament MPs on 29 September passed the Bill on Responsibility of Government Employees. Seventy-one MPs voted in favour of the bill. Parliament has a total of 111 MPs. At the sitting Speaker Dr. Rewas Faiq said that in the near future the KRG Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani will answer MPs’ questions in Parliament.

In recent meetings committees worked on bills on missing children, prevention of international crimes against humanity, import and sale of oil products, and sale and lease of public assets. MPs will meet with the prosecutor's office to ask that conditional release for prisoners be implemented.

MPs went to Chamchamal to look into the killing of two young women. Committees are working on legislation on the sale and lease of public assets, on the import and sale of oil products, on reparations for genocide survivors, and on the Kurdish Diaspora.
