Kurdistan Parliament's Legislative Committee on 15 September visited the Kurdish Institute in Paris and met with its president, Dr. Kendal Nezan, and thanked the institute for serving Kurds in the Diaspora for many years.

They discussed the situation for minorities in the Middle East, inter-parliamentary relations qne , the Peshmerga’s war against ISIS and the close friendship between Kurdistan Region and France.

14 September 2021 - Kurdistan Parliament’s Legislative Committee on their second working day in Paris met with Member of Parliament Mr. Jean-Christophe Lagarde, Deputy Chair of the French National Assembly’s Study Group on the Kurds.

MPs and advisers from Kurdistan Parliament’s Legislative Committee on 13 September in Paris met with members of France’s National Assembly, to exchange ideas and benefit from France’s legislative experience.

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 12 September visited Erbil Governorate authorities and met with the Governor Omed Khoshnaw and with Mayor of Erbil city Nabaz Abdulhamid. They discussed the importance of providing good public services throughout the governorate. 

The Kurdistan Parliament at the 7 September 2021 sitting voted on some changes to Parliament committee members, passed amendments to laws on the Integrity Commission, on Chambers of Commerce and Industry and on the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, with the latter two amendments aimed at changing the company registration process. They also passed the Law on Honours and Medals.

Committees asked Turkey's Consul General to help Kurdistan Region migrants deported from Turkey to Syria to return home, assessed the KRG's implementation of the 2020 Reform Law so far and pressed the KRG to speed up its implementation.

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 8 September welcomed Ms. Y. Dew Tiantawach, the new Chief of the Political and Economic Affairs Section of the US Consulate General in Kurdistan Region. 

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 7 September met with representatives of the NGO Adyan Foundation, led by Executive Director Dr. Ali Hindi, who presented their report of recommendations for building citizenship and good governance in Iraq.
