Deputy Speaker Hemin Hawrami on 25th June chaired a meeting of the heads of Kurdistan Parliament’s standing committees to review their work over the last three months.
Education Committee and General Director for school exams discuss remedies for mistakes in Grade 12 exam questions
23 June - The Parliament Committee on Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research on 23 June had a meeting with Mr. Karim Latif, General Director of Examinations at the Ministry of Education. The discussed complaints from Grade 12 pupils that there were mistakes in the final exam question papers. Many parents and pupils raised objections about the exams.
Kurdistan Parliament Speaker and MPs meet UK MPs to discuss continuing excellent ties, capacity building programs
Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Vala Fareed today welcomed a delegation of British MPs who are members of the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group on the Kurdistan Region. The MPs also met Deputy Speaker Hemin Hawrami, Secretary Muna Kahveci, and the heads of several parliamentary blocs. Both the British and Kurdistani MPs said they want to build on the already close relations and for the UK to provide capacity building to the Kurdistan Parliament.

Parliament's Relations and Kurdish Diaspora Committee yesterday congratulated Kurdish-American Ms Herro Mustafa on her appointment as US Ambassador to Bulgaria. Other committees in recent meetings discussed oil income for paying government employees' salaries, illegal oil refineries, and Iraq's regulation on opening a branch of a foreign company.

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Hemin Hawrami on 18th June welcomed Mr. Rebwar Talabani, Head of Kirkuk Governorate Council. Ms. Jiwan Rojbayani (KDP), Head of Parliament’s Committee on Kurdistani Areas outside the KRG Administrative Area and several committee members also participated in the meeting.

The National Democratic Institute and Kurdistan Parliament’s Research Centre on 16th June began a workshop on Parliament's code of conduct for the heads of committees and heads of the parliamentary blocs.
