Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 21 September welcomed the new Head of the EU Liaison Office in Erbil, Ms. Marie Paret. They discussed the political, economic and security situation and the forthcoming Iraqi parliament elections.

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 20 September received Korea's Consul General in Kurdistan Region, Mr. Choi Kwang-Jin. They discussed the upcoming Iraqi election and the political and security situation in Kurdistan Region and Iraq. 

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 19 September welcomed Ambassador Prashant Pise, India's new Ambassador to Iraq. They discussed strengthening inter-parliamentary relations and the current political, security and health situation in Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 18 September welcomed Ms. Viola von Cramon, the Chief of the EU Observation Mission for the forthcoming Iraqi parliamentary elections. They discussed the election preparations and the important role of the EU mission in observing a free and fair vote and helping to increase the legitimacy and inclusiveness of the election.

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Hemin Hawrami on 15 September welcomed French National Assembly MPs Sonia Krimi and Sebastien Nadot, accompanied by administrator Mohammed Sadoun and France’s Consul General Olivier Decottignies.

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 12 September visited Erbil Governorate authorities and met with the Governor Omed Khoshnaw and with Mayor of Erbil city Nabaz Abdulhamid. They discussed the importance of providing good public services throughout the governorate. 

The Kurdistan Parliament at the 7 September 2021 sitting voted on some changes to Parliament committee members, passed amendments to laws on the Integrity Commission, on Chambers of Commerce and Industry and on the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, with the latter two amendments aimed at changing the company registration process. They also passed the Law on Honours and Medals.

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 8 September welcomed Ms. Y. Dew Tiantawach, the new Chief of the Political and Economic Affairs Section of the US Consulate General in Kurdistan Region. 

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 7 September met with representatives of the NGO Adyan Foundation, led by Executive Director Dr. Ali Hindi, who presented their report of recommendations for building citizenship and good governance in Iraq.

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 7 September met with a senior delegation from Turkey’s Republican People’s Party (CHP), led by the CHP’s Vice Chair Mr. Oguz Kaan Salici.
