The Kurdistan Parliament on 29 March held an exhibition of photographs of the late Dr. Rozh Nuri Shawes, the former speaker of Parliament who passed away in February.
Parliament's Presidency’s statement on 33rd anniversary of Halabja chemical bombing
The Iraqi Government should work on the decision of the Supreme Criminal Court and Article 132 of the Iraqi Constitution to compensate the martyrs and survivors of Halabja. The Iraqi Council of Representatives has a duty to pass a law recognizing the genocide of the people of Kurdistan as well as the rights of the survivors and the martyrs’ families to reparations.

Parliament begins second reading of Bill on Conservation of Water
Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 10 March presided over an ordinary sitting for the second reading of the Bill on Conservation of Water, and MP Hevidar Ahmad (KDP) gave a speech about the environment. The reading of the Bill will continue on 16 March.
MPs hold second reading of Bill on Protection of Domestic Products, reflect on 30 years after Kurdish Uprising and International Women's Day
Speaker Rewaz Faiq on 8 March presided over a sitting on the 30th anniversary of the 1991 Kurdish Uprising. MPs reflected on the past 30 years, and the chair of the Protection of Women’s Rights Committee gave a speech marking International Women’s Day. MPs held the second reading of the Law on Protection of Domestic Products.
