Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 3 April 2023 welcomed a committee that is compiling an official law dictionary for the Kurdistan Region.

We condemn in the strongest terms the attack in Jindires near Afrin during Nawroz celebrations that killed four members of a Kurdish family and injured three people, who were exercising their basic right to celebrate their national day.

I hope that our cultural diversity and harmony will be renewed and continue to flourish, and that this beautiful celebration will strengthen the love and ties between all communities and deepen cultural networks.

The Kurdistan Parliament on 15 March 2023 formed a five-person committee of MPs to nominate candidates for commissioners of the Kurdistan High Election Commission. Parliament also swore in five new MPs to replace members who resigned.
