Kurdistan Parliament pays last respects to former speaker Dr. Rozh Nuri Shawes

The Kurdistan Parliament on 15 February held a funeral ceremony for the late Dr. Rozh Nuri Shawes, a former speaker of the parliament, member of the KDP political bureau and veteran Peshmerga who held leading positions in government in Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

Presidency of Kurdistan Parliament’s statement on rocket attacks on Erbil

Protecting this region's safe haven, where everyone has a place, must be the first task of the international community and the Security Council. Parliament Presidency's message for the New Year 2021

We wish the people of Kurdistan and all the people of Iraq a Happy New Year. We hope that in the New Year our region will enjoy peace and harmony, and that this year we will overcome the crises, strengthen trust between citizens and the Constitutional institutions, and protect and develop the Kurdistan Region’s Constitutional status, which is the result of the sacrifices made by the people of Kurdistan.
