Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 13 April 2022 welcomed the UK's Deputy Consul General, Mr. Jamie Hamill. They discussed the political situation in Kurdistan Region and Iraq, parties' differences over the next Kurdistan Parliament election and Parliament's responsibility to renew the election commission's mandate.

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 13 April 2022 welcomed Germany's Consul General Mr. Klemens Semtner. They discussed the latest political developments and the importance for the democratic process of holding a timely Kurdistan Parliament election.

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami on 10 April 2022 received Mr. Spencer Fields, the Political Unit Chief at the US Consulate General in Erbil. They discussed the need to make legislative preparations for the next Kurdistan Parliament election.

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 4 April 2022 and the Committee on Social Affairs and Protection of Human Rights discussed the Bill on Application of the Fifth Amendment (Law No. 21 of 1998) to the Law on Juvenile Welfare (Law No. 76 of 1983).

Committees held meetings on food quality and prices, domestic revenues, combatting violence against women, spending of Coronavirus budgets, and they worked on several bills. 

The Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament Dr. Rewaz Faiq calls MPs to a sitting on Tuesday 1st March 2022 at 12 noon, the first ordinary sitting of the spring session of the fourth year of the fifth term of Parliament. The Presidency of Parliament announces the order of business of the sitting as follows:

Committees worked on the Labour, Education, Tourism and Domestic Violence bills, looked into domestic revenues, taxation and electricity smart meters, and investigated the fate of missing migrants. 

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq chaired a meeting of the KRG Ministry of Agriculture, Parliament's Legislative Committee, the Kurdistan Region Presidency's legal advisers and the Veterinarians Syndicate, to discuss the Law on Supervision of Agricultural Projects that was passed in December 2021.

Kurdistan Parliament Secretary Muna Kahveci on 10 February 2022 welcomed Mr. Choi Kwang-Koo, political adviser responsible for minorities at UNAMI’s Baghdad office. They discussed the political representation and participation of Kurdistan's components and the different views on the next Kurdistan Parliament election.

Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq and the Culture Committee discussed the need for the KRG to issue  special guidelines to implement Parliament’s Resolution No. 5 of 2013, the Agreement on Solidarity and Development between the authorities and NGOs.
