Committees looked into Parliament's budget and expenditure and are working on amendments to laws on the Integrity Commission and on the Rights and Privileges of Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs. 

The Kurdistan Parliament on 18 May held a sitting presided over by the Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq, for first readings of several bills. MPs also passed the Law on the Ministry of Electricity in Kurdistan Region and approved Ms. Muni Yukhna Yaqu for the post of the Head of the Independent Human Rights Commission.

The Committee on Kurdistani Areas discussed the Bill on the Criminal Court for Crimes by ISIS. The Integrity Committee discussed the second report on reform, and the proposal to amend the Law on the Kurdistan Integrity Commission. 

The Kurdistan Parliament on 5 May held the first reading of the Bill on the Criminal Court for crimes by ISIS and bills on preservation of documents and archives, and the second reading of Bill on the Ministry of Electricity in Kurdistan Region.

The Health Committee is monitoring the Coronavirus vaccine delivery system, the Culture Committee is asking for steps to put into effect the Law on the Right to Access Information. 

The Kurdistan Parliament on 28 April passed the Law on Management and Protection of Archeology and Heritage in Kurdistan Region, and held the first reading of amendments to the implementation of the Law on Management of Endowments.

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 27 April presided over a sitting at which MPs discussed the problems and needs of adults and children with disabilities and special needs, in the presence of KRG Minister for Labour and Social Affairs, Kwestan Mohamad.
