MPs of Kurdistan Parliament's Finance and Economic Affairs Committee on 5 January met the Secretary of the Divan of the KRG Council of Ministers, Dr. Amanj Rahim, to discuss the Reform Bill.

Parliament holds second reading of Turkmen National Days Resolution, votes to extend autumn session
At the Kurdistan Parliament sitting of 24 December, MPs voted in favour of extending the Autumn Session of Parliament by 30 days, to late January, so that work on the Reform Bill, other bills and discussions on the budget and situation in Iraq can continue.
Culture Committee completes final report on Turkmen National Days draft resolution
Parliament Secretary Muna Kahveci on 22 December chaired the meeting of the Culture, Civil Society, Sports and Youth Committee to discuss the draft Resolution on Turkmen National Days. The meeting was attended by the KRG Minister of the Region for Components’ Affairs, Aydin Maruf Salim.

Parliament completes second reading of Anti-Narcotics Bill
The Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament Dr. Rewas Faiq on 18 December chaired a Parliament sitting at which the Legislative Committee and other relevant committees continued the second reading of the Bill on Narcotics and the Dealers and Users of Narcotics.
Parliament holds first reading of Reform Bill, passes Law on Regulation of Commercial Advertising
MPs of the Kurdistan Parliament convened on 16 December for the first reading of the Reform Bill. They also passed the Law on Regulation of Commercial Advertising, and began the second reading of the Anti-Narcotics Bill.
Committees' recent meetings - 16 December 2019
Committees met the Kurdistan Islamic Scholars Union to discuss their recent statement on women taking taxis alone, and how to coordinate their work. Committees completed their final report to Parliament's Presidency on the Bill on Regulation of Commercial Advertising .
