11th April 2019 - Parliament’s Committee on the Peshmerga, Interior, Security and Local Councils on 8th April met to discuss its plans and priorities of supporting stronger defence and security for the Kurdistan Region, and improving the lives of troops and veterans of the Peshmerga, the official military force of Kurdistan.

The Committee is responsible for proposing bills and scrutinizing the work of the government in its areas. The Committee members agreed to prepare a report for Parliament’s Presidency. The Head of the Committee Mr. Abdullah Haji Mahmud chaired the meeting and all the members participated.
