Deputy Speaker Hemin Hawrami thanks outgoing Head of EU Office Ms. Clarisse Pasztory

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Hemin Hawrami on 20th August thanked Ms. Clarisse Pasztory, the outgoing Head of the EU Liaison Office in Erbil, for her work in Kurdistan Region.

Mr. Hawrami said he appreciated Ms. Pasztory’s support for Kurdistan Region over three years and wished her success in the future. He said that Kurdistan Region values greatly its relations with the European Union.  

He briefed Ms. Pasztory on Parliament’s coordination with the Kurdistan Regional Government’s on reforms aimed at improving services to the people, cutting red tape and strengthening the economy. Parliament will work on 14 bills needed to help deliver the government’s proposed reforms.

Ms. Pasztory agreed with Mr. Hawrami that legislation as well as executive action are both needed to deliver reforms. She said that her successor as the Head of the EU Liaison Office will continue to work with Kurdistan’s institutions.
