Parliament’s Presidency announces order of business for opening of autumn session on 1st September 2019

The Presidency of the Kurdistan Parliament announces the order of business for opening of the autumn session of Parliament, on Sunday 1st September 2019, at 11am:

1) One minute’s silence to honour the martyrs and victims of Kurdistan and Iraq, and playing of the national anthem.

2) Opening of the autumn session by the Speaker, in the first year of the Fifth Term of Parliament, under Article 18, paragraph 3 of Parliament’s Rules of Procedure.

3) The Speaker’s speech and remarks on the opening of the autumn session.

4) Speech by the head of each parliamentary block or party to present their party’s legislative priorities for the new session. Each will have three minutes to speak.

The Presidency of the Kurdistan Parliament decides and announces the order of business of this sitting according to Parliament’s Rules of Procedure, Articles 7 (paragraph 1), 16 (paragraphs 1 and 2), 18 (paragraph 3), 54 (paragraphs 1 and 5) and Articles 47, 48, 52, 55, 56, and 57.
