Deputy Speaker Hawrami welcomes officer in charge of rescuing ISIS captives

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Hemin Hawrami on 4 December welcomed Officer Hussein Qadi, the officer in charge of searching for and rescuing ISIS's captives.

The Deputy Speaker and Officer Qadi discussed the victims of ISIS and the terror organisation's crimes, particularly the Yazidi genocide. Mr. Hawrami explained the Resolution on the Yazidi Genocide passed by the Kurdistan Parliament in August which states that the crimes must be recognised as genocide and the Iraqi government must make reparations to the victims, as provided in Iraqi law.

The Deputy Speaker commended the office in charge of rescuing the captives of the war against ISIS for their vital work.

Officer Qadi thanked the Deputy Speaker, as well as the Committee on Kurdistani Areas outside the KRG Administrative Area, for recognising his office's efforts.
