Secretary Kahveci: We must remove obstacles to achieving food security in Kurdistan

Kurdistan Parliament Secretary Muna Kahveci on 22 December welcomed a delegation from the Fiday International Organization and the Coexistence Association for Human and Environmental Protection.

The delegation informed Secretary Kahveci about their work on strengthening the role of education and women in the development of society. They hope to hold an international conference on the problem of food security. They also said that it is important for youth to fulfill their responsibilities towards their families.

The Parliamentary Secretary agreed that an international conference on food security is needed, and said, “Kurdistan Region needs to pay more attention to food security, the factors that negatively affect food security in Kurdistan must be eradicated”.

MPs Ms. Hasiba Gardi and Mr. Yasin Khizir also attended the meeting.
