Secretary Muna Kahveci welcomes UN anti-corruption adviser Mr. Anwar Tunesi
Kurdistan Parliament Secretary Muna Kahveci on 3 December welcomed Mr. Anwar Tunesi, United Nations Adviser on combating corruption, with staff from the Kurdistan Region Integrity Board.
Secretary Kahveci briefed Mr. Tunesi on the practical measures that are being taken to tackle corruption in Kurdistan Region, and said that Kurdistan should benefit from the knowledge and expertise of UN organizations to eradicate corruption.
Mr. Tunesi commended the Kurdistan Parliament for fulfilling its responsibilities of scrutiny and follow-up, and said MPs have shown that they are taking appropriate action to counter corruption. He said that the effort by all parties in Parliament to eradicate corruption was a very positive development.
