The Parliament Committee on Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research on 23 June had a meeting with Mr. Karim Latif, General Director of Examinations at the Ministry of Education. The discussed complaints from Grade 12 pupils that there were mistakes in the final exam question papers. Many parents and pupils raised objections about the exams.

Mr. Latif acknowledged that there were a number of mistakes in the final exam question papers, and said that the Ministry of Education has decided to compensate the students appropriately.

Mr. Abdulsalam Dolamari (KDP), the Head of the committee, stressed that the remedial measures to compensate students should be established, and those who made the mistakes should be dealt with according to the relevant regulations. He said that Parliament will follow up on this issue even after the exam results are released, to ensure that students will be compensated.
