Parliament’s Presidency congratulates teachers on anniversary of Kurdistan Teachers Union

The Presidency of the Kurdistan Parliament warmly congratulates teachers in Kurdistan on the anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Teachers Union, and wishes you all greater success and prosperity in the future.

As well as your duty to educate and develop future generations, teachers in Kurdistan have had an additional responsibility, of teaching your students to value their nation and to serve their country. Teachers selflessly led our society through all our uprisings and movements, and during the economic and political hardships that came after the Uprising of 1991 they continued to educate and guide our children. More recently, during the war against ISIS and through the ensuing financial crisis, teachers continued to teach generations to value peaceful coexistence.

On behalf of the Kurdistan Parliament, we assure our respected teachers that we work to protect your rights and to improve your livelihoods.
