Committees’ recent meetings – 6 November 2019

A summary of Kurdistan Parliament committees’ recent meetings and activities:

Committee on Social Affairs, Protection of Women's Rights and Human Rights

5 November - The committee held their regular meeting, led by the chair Mr. Romeo Hakari (National Union Coalition). They discussed the text of a bill on the rights and privileges of patients in Kurdistan Region.  The meeting decided to direct the updated bill to the Parliament’s Presidency. The meeting also discussed the notes, requests and reports submitted to the committee, and all of them were given detailed replies.

Legislative Committee

5 November - The committee led by the chair Mr. Bizhar Kochar (KDP) met to discuss the bill on anti-smuggling of oil and oil products in the Kurdistan Region. The committee decided to submit the bill to Parliament's Presidency so that it can be scheduled for its first reading.
