Order of business for 13 November: Committee membership, reading four bills, two MPs present ideas

The Presidency of the Kurdistan Parliament announces the order of business for the sitting of Wednesday 13th November at 11am - the seventh sitting of the autumn session of the first year of the Kurdistan Parliament’s fifth term.

1) First readings of the following bills, per articles 79, 80 and 82 of Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure:

1. Protection of domestic products in the Kurdistan Region – Iraq.

2. Anti-smuggling of oil & oil products in the Kurdistan Region – Iraq.

3. Agricultural insurance in the Kurdistan Region – Iraq.

4. Appointment of contract civil servants in the Kurdistan Region – Iraq.

2) Deciding and rearranging the membership of the Kurdistan Parliament’s standing committees, and establishing four new standing committees, according to articles 28, 29 and 34 of Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure.

3) The following MPs will present their ideas, per Article 49, paragraph 1, point 2 of Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure:

1. Ms. Jiwan Younis Rojbayani: Repeat of Arabisation and the risk of amendments to Article 140 of the Iraqi Constitution.

2. Mr. Karwan Abdulrahman Abdullah (Gazney) on the issue of transparency of the oil sector in the Kurdistan Region.

The Presidency of the Kurdistan Parliament decides and announces the order of business of this sitting according to Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure, Article 5, Article 16 (paragraphs 1, 2), Article 18 (paragraph 3), Article 20 (paragraphs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5), and articles 47, 48, 52, 54, 55, 56 and 57.
