Reconstruction and Investment Committee discuss work priorities
25 November - Parliament's Reconstruction and Investment Committee, led by the chair Mr. Hawre Mala Star (PUK), held their first regular meeting. It was the committee's first official meeting since the former Municipalities Transport, Communication, Travel, Tourism, Reconstruction and Investment Committee was split into two separate standing committees (one Reconstruction and Investment, and the other Municipalities, Transport, Communication, Travel and Tourism). The number of parliament committees was increased by a majority vote of MPs at the sitting of 13 November 2019.

They decided to meet with the Ministry of Reconstruction and with the Kurdistan Region Investment Board in the near future to coordinate their work, to follow-up on reconstruction and investment projects and on the executive's work, and to identify serious shortcomings and problems.
