Committees' recent meetings - 3 October 2019

Energy, Natural Resources, Commerce and Industry Committee

2 October - The committee led by chair Mr. Balen Esmaeel (Gorran) held their regular meeting to discuss Law No. 9 of 2006 on the import and sale of petroleum products. The committee decided to hold another meeting on 9th October for more discussion and to work on the final report on the bill. The chair briefed the members on his visit to the Iraqi Council of Representatives where he met their Petroleum and Energy Committee. 

Health, Environment and Consumer Rights Committee

2 October - The committee met Erbil International Airport officials to discuss the process for the import of medicines. The committee members were welcomed by Ms. Talar Faiq, general director of the airport, and they discussed the quality control of medicines. They decided to prepare a report on the problems and submit it to Parliament's Presidency, so that they can inform the Ministry of Health about the problems and find appropriate solutions.
