Kurdistan Parliament delegation meets with Secretary General of Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union Mr. Fayez Ali Alshawabkah

On 3 September Kurdistan Parliament’s Deputy Speaker Hemin Hawrami and the Secretary General of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, Mr. Fayez Ali Alshawabkah met in Baghdad.

They discussed parliamentary work and the importance of bilateral relations between parliaments and parliamentary unions. Mr Hawrami informed Mr. Alshawabkah about the history and the political components of the Kurdistan Parliament, and said the Kurdistan Parliament’s would be delighted to welcome a delegation from the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union to develop their ties.

Secretary General Alshawabkah said that the Arab Parliamentary Union hopes to visit the Kurdistan Parliament in the future.
