Parliament's Presidency announces order of business for sitting on 17 September 2019
The Presidency of the Kurdistan Parliament announces the order of business for the sitting of Tuesday 17th September at 11am - the first sitting of the autumn session of the first year of the Kurdistan Parliament’s fifth term.
1) Deputy Speaker Hemin Hawrami will present a report on the Parliament delegation’s participation in a conference of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly in Baghdad; and on organizing relations of all the Kurdistan Parliament’s committees with their respective committees in the Iraqi Council of Representatives.
2) First readings of the following bills, per articles 79, 80 and 82 of the Internal Rules of Procedure.
- First amendments to Kurdistan Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure.
- Enactment and amendment of Iraq’s federal Law no. 41 of 2008, on anti-smuggling of oil and oil products.
- Enactment and amendment of Iraq’s federal amended Law no. 11 of 2010 on Iraqi Products Protection Law.
- Organization and merging of the legislative priorities.
- Enactment of Iraq federal Law no. 78 of 2012, on electronic signatures and electronic transactions.
- Enactment and amendment of Iraq’s federal amended Law no. 18 of 2008, on confiscating banned and smuggled items intended for the local market.
- Enactment and amendment of Iraq’s federal Law no. 9 of 2006, on the import and sale of oil products.
3) Mr. Hevidar Ahmad Suleiman will present his idea on the population numbers of Kurdistan Region, per Article 49 (paragraph 1, point 2) of the Internal Rules of Procedure.
The Presidency of the Kurdistan Parliament decides and announces the order of business of this sitting according to Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure, Articles 16 (paragraphs 1, 2), 18 (paragraph 3), Article 20 (paragraphs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) 54 (paragraphs 1 and 5) and Articles 47, 48, 52, 55, 56 and 57.
