Committee on Kurdistani Areas outside KRG Administrative Area

15 September - The committee met with representatives of students from institutes and universities in Kurdistani Areas outside the KRG Administrative Area. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the problems that the students face, especially those who live in IDP camps. All their problems and requests were submitted to the committee, who promised to follow up on them as soon as possible. The meeting was led by the committee chair Ms. Jiwan Rojbayani (KDP).

Peshmerga, Interior, Security and Local Councils Committee

15 September - The committee, led by the chair Reving Heruri (KDP) met with the Interior Ministry’s General Director of the Divan. They discussed opening training courses for police officers, requests from interior security forces, retirement of police, equalizing salaries of the Ministry’s civil servants, and traffic fines.

The committee also discussed a report about illegally occupied or taken land, and decided to follow up on problems at border gates.

Legislative Committee

15 September - The committee held their usual meeting, led by deputy chair, Abbas Fatah (PUK). They discussed the Parliament Presidency’s proposal to amend parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure. The committee decided to submit the bill to the Presidency to schedule it for a first reading at a forthcoming sitting.
