Kurdistan Parliament sends best wishes to Christians for Easter

The Presidency of Kurdistan Parliament and the Religious Affairs Committee on 11 April conveyed their best wishes for Easter to Christians in Kurdistan Region and around the world.

Speaker Dr. Rewas Faiq expressed her hope that this Easter brings peace and prosperity to all the people of Kurdistan and brings an end to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Deputy Speaker Hemin Hawrami stated that Kurdistan has been a cradle of coexistence of diverse religions, and the authorities in Kurdistan are committed to protecting and nurturing this peaceful coexistence.  

Parliament Secretary Muna Kahveci sent her best wishes for Easter to Christians in Kurdistan, Iraq and the region. Kurdistan is a cradle of peace and tolerance between diverse ethnic and religious communities, she stated.

Parliament’s Religious Affairs and Endowments Committee hoped that Kurdistan Region and the world overcome the challenges of the Coronavirus outbreak, and stated that Kurdistan will always be a centre of tolerance and mutual respect between communities.
