Kurdistan Parliament sends Muslims best wishes for Ramadan

The Kurdistan Parliament on 23 April sent best wishes to Muslims in Kurdistan, Iraq and around the world at the start of Ramadan, and hoped that the world will overcome the challenge of the Coronavirus outbreak.

Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewas Faiq stated that in this special month of love and forgiveness, she hopes for peace and prosperity, and for continued tolerance and unity between all the diverse religious and ethnic communities of Kurdistan.

She noted that this Ramadan would be different, the Coronavirus lockdown making visits and outings impossible, and she asked the public to continue following the protection measures.

Deputy Speaker Hemin Hawrami expressed his wish for peace and prosperity for all Muslims, and unity of all peoples and religions. We must continue to work together to protect each other and overcome the Coronavirus pandemic in Kurdistan Region and worldwide, he said. He called on the public to continue following the lockdown measures.

Parliament’s Endowments and Religious Affairs Committee hoped for joy and prosperity this Ramadan, and an end to the Coronavirus pandemic around the world.
