Parliament Health Committee’s message on World Health Day

Kurdistan Parliament’s Health Committee on 7 April issued the following statement on World Health Day, as Kurdistan Region and the world battle the novel Coronavirus outbreak:

Healthcare workers are the unknown soldiers among the people of Kurdistan Region. Our Region is under threat from the spread of the novel Coronavirus that the world currently faces.

It is the responsibility of every person in Kurdistan Region to act responsibly during this crisis, so that we can contain the spread of the virus and protect everyone’s health.

We thank the frontline workers who are protecting the public’s health: doctors, nurses, all health department staff, the security forces, police and the Peshmerga.

We ask everyone to continue to follow the containment measures and stay at home to protect themselves, their loved ones and our nation’s health.
