Parliament's Education committee and Education Minister discuss challenges of Coronavirus outbreak

Kurdistan Parliament’s Education Committee and Education Minister Alan Hama Saeed held an online video meeting on 10 April to discuss the challenges facing schools and students due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

All schools have been closed and classes suspended since late February 2020 as part of the government’s Coronavirus lockdown.

The MPs and Minister Saeed discussed the situation facing all school grades, including the critical 12th grade students, and all hoped that schools can reopen soon.

The MPs stressed that this academic year of study should not be wasted or retaken.

The committee decided to discuss the current challenges with education experts.
