Social Affairs Committee visits Erbil prisons directorate to discuss Coronavirus measures

Kurdistan Parliament’s Social Affairs and Protection of Human Rights Committee on 8 April visited Erbil Directorate of Adult Offender Rehabilitation (prisons) to look into their measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus in prisons.

The committee members met with Director Hemin Farouq and discussed the directorate’s compliance with regulations to contain the virus. The MPs asked about the health of prisoners, and they met with prisoners to hear their needs and concerns.
