Speaker Dr. Rewas Faiq visits Soran and Khalifan to discuss Coronavirus impact and measures
Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewas Faiq and several MPs on 13 April visited Soran district and Khalifan sub-district to discuss the impact of the Coronavirus, and were welcomed by the Mayor of Soran Kirmanj Izzat.
Speaker Faiq thanked Soran’s officials, the High Commission on Coronavirus, doctors, nurses, and the security forces, who have worked tirelessly to protect the public’s health, contain the Coronavirus and maintain security.
During the visit, the Kurdistan Parliament donated 400 food packages to those in need in Khalifan, and medical supplies to Soran district.
Speaking at a news conference, Dr. Faiq conveyed this message to the public: “We as a nation are facing great challenges with the Coronavirus, and we are here to support you in every way we can."
She also thanked news agencies for covering the Coronavirus and the lockdown measures accurately and responsibly.
