Speaker Faiq conveys best wishes to Kurdsat television channel on 21st anniversary

On the 21st anniversary of the founding of Kurdsat satellite television channel, my best wishes go to Kurdsat’s director and media teams and to all the staff of the Kurdistan Media Foundation. I wish you continued progress and success.

Kurdsat channel was built on the foundations of two important earlier stages: The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan’s (PUK) call for a new revolution; and the PUK’s launch of the first television channel, first daily newspaper and other media after the Uprising. But Kurdsat is unique in showing the beauty of Kurdish society, serving all of the public from every walk of life, appreciating journalism’s values and norms and refusing to do away with respectful journalism, and in showing the Kurds’ unique culture and features. Kurdsat is the voice and colour of the Kurds and of all the people of Kurdistan.
