Speaker Faiq welcomes Armenia’s Consul General Arshak Manoukian

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 9 December welcomed Armenia’s first ever Consul General in Kurdistan Region, Arshak Manoukian.

Speaker Faiq hoped that the people of Armenia can live in peace and security and emerge from the current adverse situation, and highlighted the common ground on which the people of Kurdistan and Armenia can strengthen their relations.

Consul General Manoukian agreed that there were many common points between the people of the two nations and said that Armenia looks forward to closer ties with Kurdistan Region. The Speaker and the Consul General decided to take practical steps in future to this end.
