Speaker Faiq welcomes Kurdish politician Osman Baydemir

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewas Faiq on 23 February welcomed Mr. Osman Baydamir, the leading Kurdish politician.

Speaker Faiq and Mr. Baydemir discussed the political situation in Kurdistan and the wider region. The Speaker of Parliament emphasized the principles of democracy and peaceful coexistence in all parts of Kurdistan. She said that Parliament plays a vital role in protecting the rights of minorities, civic struggle, and valuing women's participation in the political process.

Mr. Baydemir thanked the Speaker Faiq for welcoming him and said of the Kurdistan Parliament, "The Kurdistan Parliament is the fulfilment of a dream for Kurds in all parts of Kurdistan, and it is our duty to support it."
