Parliament Secretary Muna Kahveci meets with Peshmerga commanders

The Secretary of the Kurdistan Parliament Ms. Muna Kahveci on 28 January met with Peshmerga military commanders in Erbil. She described the peaceful religious and ethnic coexistence in Kurdistan as one of the nation’s positive values and achievements that must be protected. 

On the sacrifices made by the Peshmerga forces to protect Kurdistan Region, Secretary Kahveci said, “The Peshmerga confronted ISIS - the most dangerous terrorist group in the world, and defeated them under Masoud Barzani's command."

Ms. Kahveci also spoke about the reform process in Kurdistan. She noted that Parliament and the Government are making every effort to make the process successful. The Reform Law has recently been passed by Parliament, she said, and will be implemented to bring more social justice to Kurdistan.
