Deputy Speaker Hawrami welcomes Iraqi Parliament’s PUK MPs

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Hemin Hawrami on 20 July welcomed MPs from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan of Iraq’s House of Representatives (the Iraqi Parliament). The PUK delegation was headed by Dr. Joane Ihsan.

The meeting focused on the health and economic situation in Kurdistan Region and relations between Kurdistan and Baghdad, Both the Deputy Speaker and the PUK delegation stressed the need for acting in unity as one political team to resolve issues of importance for Kurdistan.

Deputy Speaker Hawrami said the Kurdistan Parliament supports the unity of the Kurdistani political forces in the Iraqi Parliament. He asked the PUK delegation to coordinate their committee work on many issues with the committees of the Kurdistan Parliament.

On behalf of the PUK delegation, Dr. Joane Ihsan said that they were pleased to visit the Kurdistan Parliament and hoped that the necessary coordination and cooperation will continue between the committees of the two parliaments.
