Speaker Rewas Faiq congratulates Patriotic Union of Kurdistan on their 45th anniversary

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker on 31 May congratulated the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) party on their 45th anniversary, in the following message:

On the 45th anniversary of the founding of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, I extend my warmest congratulations to the families of martyrs, to the Peshmerga, political prisoners, those injured in wars, to the heads and members of the General Leadership Council and the Supreme Political Council, and all members and friends of the Patriotic Union.

With the anniversary and renewal of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, I hope that this occasion will be a turning point in the PUK’s civil struggle to serve the people of Kurdistan, so that they can live in peace.

I hope that this commemoration will be a prelude to adapting ourselves to the new situation in the region, Iraq and Kurdistan, and to maintaining unity among the political forces so that we can overcome these challenging times, while following Mam Jalal's vision and path.

May the eternal souls of the martyrs rest in peace, and may the people of Kurdistan enjoy a better life.
