Deputy Speaker Hawrami’s message on Prophet Muhammad’s birthday

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Hemin Hawrami on 29 October conveyed the following message to Muslims on Mawlood, the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday:

On the occasion of the birthday of Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (PBUH), I congratulate Muslims around the world, and in Kurdistan in particular.

I hope that this blessed occasion will be a launching pad for peace, harmony, salvation from Coronavirus and deepening the spirit of peaceful coexistence among all the religions in Kurdistan Region.

We declare that we reject disrespect of the Prophet of Islam and the messengers of other religions. Kurdistan is proud of our majority of Muslims, our diverse religious communities’ peaceful coexistence, and the constitutional institutions that are the protectors of our coexistence.
