Order of Business for sitting of 5 October 2020: KRG Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani to discuss key issues

The Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament calls MPs to a sitting on Monday 5th October 2020 at 10am – the eighth ordinary sitting of the autumn session of the second year of the Kurdistan Parliament’s fifth term. The Presidency of Parliament announces the order of business of the sitting as follows:

Per Article 66 (paragraph 2) of Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure, at the request of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani and Minister for Finance and the Economy Awat Janab will present to MPs on the following areas:

1) The steps and the stage reached in implementing reforms, especially the Law on Reform of Salaries, Allowances, Benefits, Privileges and Pensions in Kurdistan Region – Iraq (Law No. 2 of 2020)

2) The state of the economy and payment of government employees' salaries

3) Negotiations with the Iraqi Federal Government

4) The Kurdistani areas outside the KRG administrative area

5) The Coronavirus situation and containment measures.

The Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament announces this sitting according to Article 18 (paragraph 3) of Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure.

The Presidency of the Kurdistan Parliament decides and announces the order of business of this sitting according to Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure, Article 5, Article 16 (paragraphs 1, 2), Article 18 (paragraph 3), Article 20 (paragraphs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5), and articles 47, 48, 52, 54, 55, 56 and 57.
