Parliament’s Presidency and committee express condolences on passing of Yazidi spiritual leader Baba Sheikh

Kurdistan Parliament’s Presidency and the Endowments and Religious Affairs Committee on 1 October expressed their condolences to Yazidis everywhere, on the passing of the Yazidis’ spiritual leader, Baba Sheikh Hajji Ismail.

They expressed their sympathies to Yazidis in Kurdistan and around the world on learning the sad news.

Baba Sheikh was one of the most important figures in promoting peaceful coexistence between different communities in Kurdistan. His death is a great loss to all the people of Kurdistan. May he rest in peace.
