Deputy Speaker Hawrami thanks Greece’s outgoing Consul General

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Hemin Hawrami on 28 September met with the outgoing Greek Consul General in Kurdistan Region, Efthymios Costopoulos. They discussed the political, economic and health situation, and relations between Kurdistan and Greece.

On the dialogue between Erbil and Baghdad, Deputy Speaker Hawrami said, “The Kurdistan Parliament supports the KRG’s strategy in the negotiations between Erbil and Baghdad, within the framework of the Iraqi Constitution.”

Deputy Speaker Hawrami and Mr. Costopoulos agreed on the need to develop closer Kurdistan-Greece ties at many levels and in different areas.

The departing Consul General said that he appreciated Kurdistan’s rich culture during his tenure. Deputy Speaker Hawrami thanked him for his efforts and wished him success in his future work.
