Speaker Rewas Faiq chairs meeting on Bill on Sale and Lease of Public Assets

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewas Faiq on 22 September chaired a Finance and Economic Affairs Committee meeting to review and continue drafting the Bill on the Sale and Lease of Public Assets.

The committee and Speaker Faiq discussed the comments and suggestions made on the Bill by MPs and others, to decide which should be incorporated in the draft legislation in the public’s interest.

The Bill had its first reading in Parliament on 2 September. It will continue its passage through Parliament with a second reading in the chamber, at which MPs will review each article in detail, and then with a third reading and vote.
