Deputy Speaker Hawrami meets with Korea's Consul General Choi Kwang-Jin

Kurdistan Parliament Deputy Speaker Dr. Hemin Hawrami and Korea's Consul, Mr. Choi Kwang-Jin, on 25 April discussed the latest political, economic, health and security developments and relations between Kurdistan Region and Korea.

On the next Iraqi election, Deputy Speaker Hawrami said that Parliament's Presidency supports creating a Kurdistani alliance for seats in the Kurdistani areas outside the KRG administration, such as Kirkuk, Shengal (Sinjar) and Ninevah. He gave Consul Choi an overview of the preparations for the new electoral system in Iraq. 

Dr. Hawrami and Mr. Choi also discussed the current Coronavirus situation and the Erbil-Baghdad agreement on the budget, and both stressed continuing to develop the close friendship between Kurdistan Region and Korea.
