Order of Business for sitting of 20 April 2021

The Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament Dr. Rewaz Faiq calls MPs to a sitting on Tuesday 20 April 2021 at 11am, the eighth ordinary sitting of the spring session of the third year of the fifth term of Parliament.

The Presidency of Parliament announces the order of business of the sitting as follows:

1) Vote on the Bill on the Import and Sale of Oil Products in Kurdistan Region - Iraq, per articles 90, 91, 93, 96 and 97 of Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure.

2) The following MPs will speak on these topics, per Article 49 (paragraph 1, point 2) of the Internal Rules of Procedure:

i) Dr. Galawezh Obaid Othman Syian (KDP) on the rise in cancer cases.

ii) Shno Ashqi Abdullah (PUK) on creating job opportunities in Kurdistan Region - Iraq.

3) First reading of the Bill on First Amendments to the Law on Ownership of Illegally Used and Taken Land in the Municipalities of Kurdistan Region - Iraq, (Law No. 3 of 2019), per articles 79 and 80  of Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure.

4) Second reading of the following bills, per articles 87, 88 and 89 of the Internal Rules of Procedure:

i) Draft Resolution on designating a Kurdish Journalism Day in Kurdistan Region - Iraq.

ii) Bill on Managing and Protecting Archaeology and Heritage in Kurdistan Region - Iraq.

The Presidency of the Kurdistan Parliament decides and announces the order of business of this sitting according to Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure, Article 5, Article 16 (paragraph 1), Article 18 (paragraph 3), Article 20 (paragraphs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5), and articles 47, 48, 52, 54, 55, 56 and 57.
