Speaker Faiq receives Iran’s Consul General Nasrollah Rashnoudi

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 15 August received Iran’s Consul General in Erbil, Mr. Nasrollah Rashnoudi, who thanked the Speaker for attending the swearing-in ceremony in Tehran of Iran’s new President, Ebrahim Raisi.

Speaker Faiq said that the Kurdistan Region delegation received a warm welcome during the swearing-in ceremony on 5th August.

The Speaker referred to President Raisi’s strong and positive inaugural speech, and said she hopes that the views he expressed would be translated into a positive impact on relations between Iran and the region in general, and would be for the greater good and greater prosperity.

Discussing Kurdistan Parliament’s work, Dr. Faiq said that it is very important to pass legislation that creates a basis for strengthening industry, agriculture, tourism and trade, to help move away from reliance on oil.
