Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq conveys best wishes to Kurdish Writers Union on their 51st anniversary

Dear members of the high committee of the Kurdish Writers Union and all writers of Kurdistan,

My heartfelt congratulations on the 51st anniversary of the founding of the Kurdish Writers Union, to you and your members and to all writers and intellectuals of Kurdistan. I wish you continued success in advancing Kurdish literature and thought.

The Kurdish Writers Union has played a unique role in strengthening a sense of nationhood, protecting humanist ideals and Kurdish culture, and developing the spirit of resistance among young people at many stages of the revolution.

On this occasion we honour the memory of your Union’s head, the late Kakamak Botani, who sadly we lost to Coronavirus last year.

I congratulate you once again and wish you continued success in your work of developing Kurdish language and literature.
