Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq meets with Greece’s Consul General Efthymios Costopoulos

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 21 January received Greece’s Consul General Efthymios Costopoulos.  

Consul General Costopoulos came to thank Speaker Faiq for Parliament's good relations with the Consulate General and to bid farewell as his posting in Kurdistan Region comes to an end.

Speaker Faiq said, "We commend you for successfully carrying out your duties, and unfortunately the current situation [of the Coronavirus pandemic] prevented you from doing more. We hope that in the future when the circumstances allow, your Consulate General will be able to provide more services.”

Mr. Costopoulos thanked Speaker Faiq and said that he hopes that the Kurdistan Region and Iraq reach an agreement as soon as possible to solve the political and economic crisis.
