Speaker Faiq meets with High Council of Political Parties’ Youth Organizations

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 5 July welcomed the High Council of Political Parties’ Youth Organizations, led by Maiser Naheli, Secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Youth Union and Secretary of the political parties’ youth organizations.

Speaker Faiq and Mr. Naheli and his colleagues discussed the current situation for young people in and many pressing social and political issues, including youth unemployment and youth migration.

Speaker Faiq said, “Young people worldwide are the engines of their nation in terms of cultural, political and economic progress, they are the source of renewal and development, and the Kurdistan Parliament fully supports projects that benefit young people.”

The Speaker added, “I am heartened to see members of parties’ youth organizations crossing party barriers and coming together to achieve their common goal of serving and supporting young people.”

Mr. Naheli and his colleagues focused on important and sensitive problems that face young people, and made suggestions on how to build young peoples’ skills and capacity in all sectors and in many aspects of life.

Speaker Faiq gave her support to their efforts and shared their views, hoping that youth organizations will always remain at the forefront of civil society, and saying that the Kurdistan Parliament will do what it can to help them to succeed in their endeavours.
