Speaker Rewaz Faiq meets with France’s Consul General Mr. Olivier Decottignies

Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Dr. Rewaz Faiq on 12 July welcomed the French Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, Mr. Olivier Decottignies.  

The latest political developments in Kurdistan Region and Iraq, the coming Iraqi elections and the relations between Kurdistan and Baghdad were discussed.

"The relations between the region and Baghdad are at a good level, we hope that joint understanding will continue in the future," said Speaker Faiq.

For his part, the French Consul General said that he was glad to see improved relations between both sides and hoped that the agreements between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad will benefit all of the Iraqi people.
