Clarification by Presidency of Kurdistan Parliament

Many media outlets are contacting us about our letter number 1755 of 22 June 2021, which concerns Members of Parliament visiting and looking into projects.

We wish to clarify here that the abovementioned letter only puts into action articles 40 and 41 of Kurdistan Parliament’s Internal Rules of Procedure, which specify the authority of Parliament’s standing committees to monitor and carry out field visits to work and projects, and to make conclusions on them using the legal mechanisms and applicable procedures.
